Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using CampusCollab, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be a currently enrolled student and provide accurate information.
2Accounts & OAuth sign-in
Accounts are created through Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google or GitHub account you sign in with, and for all activity under your CampusCollab account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.
3Acceptable use
- Do not post spam, fraudulent, or misleading bounties.
- Do not harass other students or misrepresent your work.
- Do not use automated tools to flood the platform with content or requests.
- Do not attempt to bypass row-level security or access data that is not yours.
4Bounties & escrow: important disclaimer
CampusCollab provides a venue for students to post paid bounties and for other students to claim and fulfil them. A bounty is a contract directly between the posting student and the helping student. CampusCollab is not a party to that agreement, is not the employer of either student, and does not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, or completion of any work.
Where an escrow feature is offered, it is a convenience for holding funds pending completion. CampusCollab does not provide banking, lending, or money-transmission services, is not a licensed escrow agent, and makes no guarantee that funds will be released, refunded, or recovered in any particular dispute. You use the bounty and escrow features at your own risk.
You are solely responsible for any taxes, and for resolving disputes with the other student. CampusCollab may, but is not obligated to, assist in dispute resolution.
5Payments & fees
Reward amounts are set by the posting student and denominated as shown at the time of posting. Any platform or processing fees will be disclosed before you confirm a transaction. Chargebacks or reversals initiated through a payment provider are governed by that provider’s terms.
6Content ownership
You retain ownership of the content and code you create. By posting to CampusCollab, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and display that content to operate the service.
7Termination
You may stop using CampusCollab at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create legal risk.
8Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CampusCollab is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9Changes to terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of CampusCollab after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
